Over a period of last 30 years mosil has evolved from a family owned family managed firm to a Professionally Managed Organisation thriving on its capabilities of identifying new applications and developing Specialty Lubricants to improve the efficiencies of those applications. Competing globally with the giants of the Lubrication world, MOSIL is proud of its 100% Indian Origin.
Late 60's witnessed a shortage of Specialty Lubricants. Proposals from few industries propelled Late Dr. C. K. Mavani to start a manufacturing unit in India to offer import substitute products.
The company started with the manufacturing of Specialty Lubricants based on Moly and Graphite with indigenous R & D activities. Later on in 1974, the company introduced Silicone based lubricants for the only Aircraft manufacturer in India. It was a major breakthrough for the company to get TYPE APPROVAL for Indian products of Moly and Graphite base lubricants against the Russian Specifications.
In 1980 the company introduced for the first time in India Synthetic Lubricants based on various esters, Glycols and other Synthetic functional fluids with indigenous technology. The company always looks forward in technological advancement for updating the requirements of new products to incorporate the developments in Synthetic base oils.
